Manager, Royalty and Finance Administration

  • Manage departmental staff of two and work flow for Royalty and Finance department.

  • Reconcile revenue and expense accounts on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to Rights logic royalty sub-ledger and JDE ledger system.

  • Track and distribute monthly and yearly International revenue analysis to upper management.

  • Work with Domestic Consumer Products Compliance Manager on billing and collections of delinquent and “at risk” licensees.

  • Work with legal department to issue default and termination notifications to “at risk”, default and bankrupt licensees.

  • Provide payment history reconciliation to licensees and internal management to address any discrepancies with account.

  • Troubleshoot any contractual issues in Rights logic royalty system with International, Domestic and Minor League account managers.

  • Work to reduce Account Receivable open invoice balance from $35million to under $5million within a year.

  • Work with outside vendor (RSG) to implement new updates to the Rights logic system.

  • Manage all external licensee audits, provide audit findings to the respective account managers, and collect any audit findings and audit cost.

Hospitality Management (Seasonal)

July 2022 – present

Planning Phase:

  • Coordinate with the Global Events team to organize food and beverage services for the Legends Suite, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable (AP) to onboard Legends players and entertainers at Play Ball Park, ensuring timely payment processing.

  • Work with the Entertainment Coordinator to streamline payment processing for entertainers prior to and post event.

  • Partner with Consumer Products to provide merchandise gift bags for Legends and their guests.

On-Site Execution
Tickets:

  • Distribute and manage all ticket and seat allocations.

  • Assist Legends and guests with the Ticketmaster app and ballpark entry process.

  • Facilitate additional ticket purchases and process payments promptly.

  • Adjust ticketing and seating as needed based on player requests.

Appearances & Transportation:

  • Maintain the Legends’ appearance schedule and ensure timely arrivals.

  • Coordinate with on-site ground transportation company for all transportation matters, including arrivals, appearances, and departures to airports.

  • Communicate pick-up schedules to Legends and arrange game-day shuttles.

  • Manage last-minute player movements and additional appearance schedule.

  • Oversee the experience team assisting the Legends with transportation logistics.

Finance & Payments:

  • Ensure timely check distribution to Legends at the end of event.

  • Collect any missing paperwork to process stipends post-event.

  • Reconcile appearance fees payroll with Global Events and process outstanding payments.

  • Work with AP to process all entertainer invoices via ACH, ensuring payments are made within one-week post-event.

Post-Event Reconciliation:

  • Confirm all paperwork and AP on-boarding for entertainers are completed.

  • Finalize Legends' appearance fees and process outstanding payments.

  • Reconcile all ticket distribution and allocations.

MTV NETWORKS, New York, NY

May 2007 – November 2010
Manager, International Ancillary Business Operations–Latin America and Mexico

  • Managed 3 analysts.

  • Lead a team of 12 analysts over a ten-month period which resulted in a reduction of a $35M backlog to little over $300K.

  • Identified and assist in the executing of revenue development, collections, contract compliance and management,month-end closes and financial reporting for MTV International’s ancillary business operations group for Latin America and Mexico.

  • Designed and managed the AR Exposure file, created to minimize financial risk relating to “known” licensing partners who are either bankrupt or having financial hardship

  • Assisted in the design and development of new automated reporting system for tracking a $50M Accrual Based Participation contracts, and execute business improvements in managing the Cash Based Participations contracts for more effective reporting to Participations Management group

  • Strategized with Business & Legal Affairs and the NVCP groups to improve various form agreements for licensing industry standards and negotiations such as tax implications in foreign countries, improve royalty structures to maximize sales, etc.

  • Managed relationship with off-shore data entry vendor and assist Vice President in establishing operational processes to streamline royalty statement, cash allocation and invoice generation process.

  • Ensured timely and accurate reporting to upper management on status of accounts receivables and all related risks and provide internal performance metrics and monthly reporting to track progress and monitor operational performance and recommend process improvements.

 

Manager, Participation Management

November 2004 – April 2007

  • Constructed participation $85M ledger to track all ancillary revenue and expense for the various MTN shows

  • Increased statement output by rendering 20 new statements each reporting period

  • Streamlined and implemented policy and procedures in rendering and compiling information for payment to participants

  • Designed and launched new statement format for more effective reporting to participants

  • Interpreted complex back-end agreements, amendments, and supporting correspondence to ensure information is accurately reported on MTV’s Participation Statements.

  • Encouraged participation and empowered employees to take initiative. Developed a positive work environment
